We've almost made it one month!

Friday night was my big night out :)  Gomer's was having a wit beer tasting and wit beers are my favorite this time of year.  I put some normal clothes on and Chris put on the Ergo baby carrier and off we went.  I wasn't certain what our reception would be, but all the employees wanted to check out Landon.  When it was all said and done we probably had the equivalent of half a beer over half an hour, but that was the most I've had since Germany - good thing wits are generally low in alcohol content!  I forgot to snap a picture of Chris in the baby carrier but it's black and manly enough for him!

Saturday morning was absolutely gorgeous.  It stayed in the 70s into the early afternoon.  We got up and took the dogs and Landon down to Brookside.  I was hesitant to take the dogs but they were very well behaved.  We hung out on the patio of the Roasterie and then hit up the Local Organic Farmer's Market.  When we first moved to the area we went to the market and it was mainly homemade soaps and local honeys.  I'm so glad we tried it again!  Now there's local organic produce, meats, eggs, breads, coffees and the vendors are so nice and fun to talk too.  The last few years we've really realized how important it is to support local farmers and businesses so I think this will become a Saturday morning ritual.

How gorgeous is that produce?

Saturday afternoon was filled with great visits.  Susan and her mother Connie were in town to do some shopping and stopped by.  Susan is a school psychologist, Connie is a teacher and my maternity leave ended up coinciding with school summer vacation.  I have summer break brain and routinely have to ask Chris what day of the week it is.  I'm not the only one as Susan told Chris it was so nice he had whole day off work (it was a Saturday).

Landon and the lovely Susan and Connie.

Shortly after they left Brian, Cami and Kinsley (Kellan spent the weekend with my Mom and Dad) were in town and spent time with us.

Kinsley's growing too fast!  I can't believe Landon will be her size in 6 weeks!

These two cousins will be double trouble - I can already tell!

Kristen and Isaac had us over for an amazing brunch on Sunday.  They're a good team - Kristen makes some amazing sausage gravy and Isaac makes delicious biscuits.

Sisters!

Landon just chilled in his bouncy seat while we ate.  I think he has a scared look on his face because Kristen's evil cat Biz was lurking around.

We hung out all day and watched the Euro Cup.  I was the only one that could hold Landon because everyone else was too into the game and couldn't sit still.  As you can tell Landon wasn't too into the game.

Landon was a perfect angel all morning and afternoon at Kristen and Isaacs.  I had wanted to take some nice photos once we got home (it's not too often I fix my hair AND put on makeup these days).  While we were able to snap a few shots that I love, they came in between multiple bouts of flailing arms and legs and screaming.  I was getting frustrated and Chris was laughing at me but I think these images were worth it.

This was an amazing weekend because Chris said he wanted to help me out and bottle feed Landon once during the middle of the night on the weekends.   He was already getting up and tending to Landon if he was fussing during the night and it wasn't time to eat yet.  He's such a great husband and father!  Now on the weekends I get to sleep through a feeding and get a solid 5 hours sleep instead of a few 2 hour naps.

We graduated up to the big boy tub this week, no more sponge baths on the kitchen counter for me!

Watching Mommy cook - he looks like a giant baby in this pic!

Now this is more like my real size!

We've learned we might have to invest in a nature sounds alarm clock or something once we move Landon out of our room and into the nursery.  The sounds of waves crashing and babbling brooks are pretty darn nice to fall asleep to.

My days and nights are pretty much a blur.  One night this week I was telling Chris about my day and I mentioned I hopped in the shower while Landon was sleeping.  Then I couldn't remember if I had indeed showered that day.  My conversation went like this - "Wait, I think I showered today.  Did I shower? Yeah, Yeah, I think I showered.  No was that yesterday? Did I really not shower today? No I showered...I remember now..... I definitely showered."  Geez.
